Oh Chris, you just described (far better than I ever could have) my life and feelings eighteen years ago when Catherine was born and I decided to be a stay-at-home Mom. Having gotten married late in life (by most people's standards) and having a geriatric pregnancy (I almost threw up when I saw that on my medical record!!), this career girl was not at all prepared for the housewife/ mom role. I made the decision to stay home with Cat cause I knew it was the best thing for her. I wanted to BE THERE for her whenever she needed me. I didn't want to FIT HER IN. That was the right thing to do. I wouldn't take anything for that time I had with her. BUT, I had many moments when I felt like I got lost in the process. So I made a decision to be the BEST darn housewife I could be. Being GOOD at something is very important to me. I NEED to know I have done the best job I can possibly do, even if it is just scrubbing toilets or making a special treat to surprise my husband. For me scheduling was key - Making that daily list gave me a purpose everyday. Crossing off a finished task gave me a sense of accomplishment. When I did the day's assigned tasks, I gave myself some "me time". - I EARNED it and I enjoyed it!!!

This is all just a matter of getting your head in the right place. You can do and enjoy it. Good Luck!!!
